Nokia had made a comeback in the smartphone segment last year with its branding partnership with HMD Global. Last week, Nokia revealed its new smartphone in China, the Nokia X. The smartphone is seen featuring a notch on top of the display in an image posted by Nokia via its Weibo account.
And it seems that HMD Global has adopted the new trend incorporating initially eye-sore notch on their devices, the notch which had been incorporated in iPhone X. According to Weibo post, the device Nokia X will be launched on May 16.

Earlier, leaked photos of this Nokia smartphone has showcased the front panel with an edge-to-edge display, a feature which is getting common on smartphones being released after the iPhone X launch. The notch incorporates the earpiece, front camera and proximity sensors. And the rear of the Smartphone would be made up of glass and also includes the vertical dual camera setup that is placed at the center. Below the camera setup there would be circular fingerprint sensor and on the right there is volume and power button.
Nokia x features and specifications
Going by the reports, the Nokia X features 5.8-inches IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution (2280 x 1080 pixels) and pixel density of 435 ppi. It would be running on Android 8.1 (Oreo) and comes in two variants, one would with MediaTek Helio P60 processor having 4GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage and the other variant would come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Octa-core SoC processor, having 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.
In addition, it has a dual 12MP rear facing camera setup with Carl Zeiss lens, phase detection autofocus, LED flash a d 4K Video recording. And front camera of 5 megapixel with fixed focus lens. The phone would be having metal and glass design, 3500mAh battery with support for faster charging. The phone will be available in Black and white color variant and likely to be launched on 16 May in India.
