The Xiaomi Mi 6X(likely to be called Mi A2 in India) phone though does not exist as of now in Indian market but Xiaomi may launch the expected Mi 6X/A2 sometime later this year. Xiaomi has unveiled its mid range smartphone Mi 6X in China on Wednesday. Considering it as an upgraded version of Mi A1 its going to come with Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 9.5 along with its highlighting features which includes hardware Snapdragon 660 SoC with 6GB RAM, Xiaomi’s digital assistant Xiao AI, and other AI integrations in the camera. Other main notable feature is its camera. Rear side of MI 6X has dual camera It has 12-MegaPixel rear camera with f/1.75 aperture with Sony IMX486 sensor + a 20-MP secondary rear camera with Sony IMX 376 sensore for portrait shots with AI. On the front side you are going to find the same 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor with soft LED flash and AI beautification.
The MI 6X/Mi A2 will give a competitive edge to other phones within the same budget because of its pricing and features. While several companies have already saturated the budget to mid-range segment, Asus also has recently launched an new affordable smartphone Zenfone Max Pro M1 in Indian market. Though Redmi Note 5 Pro is so far dominating the market due to its high erformance hardware and MIUI features, but the new Zenfone had also arrived the market with list of attractive features to take on the competition including thin bezel display, metallic body, higher battery backup and dual rear camera feature with stock Android experience.
So over here we are going to a look at the Xiaomi Mi 6X/Mi A2 price and specifications and compare them with those of Redmi Note 5 Pro and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
Although the price of Mi 6X has not been yet specified for Indian market but here we are going to consider approximate price taking in account the Chinese launch price (CNY). So Mi 6X would cost around Rs. 16,900 (CNY 1,599) for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model. And the premium Mi 6X variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage would come with a price tag of about Rs. 21,000(CNY 1,999).
On the other hand, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced at Rs. 13,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant whereas the other variant cost Rs. 16,999 for 6GB RAM, 64GB storage variant.
Meanwhile, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 will be available on Flipkart sale starting from May 3, has been priced at Rs. 10,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Its other variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will be available at Rs. 12,999.
